What initial services are provided?
Our Initial meeting with our clients is always cost and obligation free
At this meeting you get to find out about us, what services we offer
We provide you with an overview of the role of a Financial Planner in developing strategies to achieve your short medium and long term financial goals, we may discuss in broad details how paticular strategies may apply to your situation and we may use some financial modelling tools to illustrate these outcomes and demonstrate how they add value
At this first meeting we also get to know you as a client and establish if we are going to be able to add value to your situation.
At this first meeting we will tell you about our business ,our planners, our relationships with our licensee and any other companies and individuals and how we are remunerated for our services through the presentation of our financial services guide (FSG)
During this initial meeting if we mutually agree to proceed, we will then begin the financial planning process which involves
- Identification of your financial goals and objectives.
- Collection and analysis of your existing personal and financial situation.
- Investigation and consideration of possible financial planning strategies and products that will assist you to meet your goals and objectives.
- Presentation of a written recommendation, referred to as a ‘Statement of Advice’.
- Implementation of your strategy.
- Ongoing review service
This initial Fact Find process is essential for us to get to know you so we can formulate recommendations to your individual circumstances and may involve quite a bit of research (which we do on your behalf) and an additional meeting to complete the fact find process.
The next part of the process is formulating strategy and product recommendations to meet your goals and objectives and we often have a client meeting to discuss these in detail prior to finalising the recommendations. After all it is your plan so your input in its development is essential to its ongoing success.
We then prepare for you a Statement of Advice which details or recommendations to you in a formal and detailed advice document. This document is your map to charting you financial course and the starting point of your ongoing Financial Planning. We have a meeting to present the Statement of Advice to you and explain all the key recommendations, outcomes, advantages, disadvantages and costs.
Once you are satisfied with the recommendations and are prepared to implement the plan we then complete all the necessary paperwork, applications etc and help you to fully implement the recommendations. Implementation can take several weeks and even months depending on the circumstances and we assist and guide you through this process.
Once a plan has been developed and implemented the process moves to ongoing review service to ensure that your plan is updated as life, circumstances, markets, and legislation changes.
