Stephen Schill
In October 2001 Stephen started his career in Financial Planning as authorised representative for AXA Financial Planning in Mackay working as a servicing adviser in a small firm. By December 2003 Stephen secured a role as a Financial Planner with Suncorp and quickly advanced to the role of Senior Financial Planner for the Mackay and Whitsunday region.
Stephen spent two highly successful years at Suncorp where he grew as a Financial Planner. He completed in-house courses in Financial Planning, Customer Service and Advanced Diploma subjects. During his time at Suncorp, Stephen gained substantial skills and knowledge in delivering comprehensive advice to a broad range of clients in a timely and compliant manner. In this role Stephen gained valuable corporate experience, consistently achieving targets in all areas and developed strong working relationships with staff and customers alike.
In January 2006, after reviewing offers from various Financial Planning Licensees, Stephen joined the AXA Group and Charter Financial Planning as a self employed Authorised Representative.
During his first year Stephen won Charters’ Discovery Award of Excellence for Queensland advisers. This award recognised Stephen’s excellence in achievement across all areas of advisor practice and development.
NewCourse Financial was established in July 2007. Stephen is a partner in the practice, along with his wife Tracey who works as a Planner and has completed a Diploma of Financial Services.
Stephen and Tracey have adopted the motto “exceed expectations” when delivering service to clients and pursue this ethos throughout the development of NewCourse Financial.
Personalised Financial Planning requires an understanding of client’s needs, goals and objectives. Stephens’ career path from servicing adviser, to a corporate Financial Planner, to a Financial Planning practitioner has given him a wealth of practical experience across a large range of situations allowing him to understand what his clients want to gain from seeing a financial planner, what concerns they may have, and what their expectations for long term results and service are. This experience and knowledge ensures that Stephen’s clients obtain the best possible service and advice.
Stephen is an Associate Financial Planner practitioner member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).
Stephen is a member of the AMP Financial Planners Association (AMPFPA) and is a representative on the Advice Consultancy group for this association.
